The African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) Group of States is composed of 79 African, Caribbean and Pacific states. There are 48 countries from Sub-Saharan Africa, 16 from the Caribbean and 15 from the Pacific.
The European Union (EU) has a long history of supporting the sustainable development of the ACP regions and countries, including through the work of the Development and Cooperation – EuropeAid (DEVCO) Directorate-General of the European Commission (EC). The Commission finances most of its development programmes for ACP countries through the European Development Fund (EDF). More information on the Commission’s development programmes for ACP countries is available here.
